OneSource Distributors Drug & Alcohol Free Workplace Policy

OneSource Distributors believes the workplace should be drug and alcohol free in order to provide for a safe, healthy, productive, and pleasant working environment. To promote this goal, you must come to work in a condition to perform at your best.

This policy applies to all applicants and associates at all OneSource locations.
While on company premises and while conducting business-related activities off company premises, you may not use, possess, distribute, manufacture, sell, or be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. This includes possession or use of any controlled substances or alcohol in any company or personal vehicle on company premises, except if the alcoholic beverage is unopened and stored in your personal vehicle. Selling or distributing drugs while on company premises, engaged in company business, or operating company equipment, will subject an associate to immediate termination, even for a first infraction.

Alcohol may be permitted at certain company-sanctioned affairs, on or off company premises, if it is during non-working hours or it is at a formally planned business, recreational or social event. This needs to be approved by the President of the company or the location manager. The consumption of alcohol at mealtime, during working hours is prohibited.

Consumption or possession of alcohol when on company business outside of normal working hours is allowed, provided it is within legal and reasonable limits, you have the prior approval of your manager, and it occurs off company premises. If you are traveling for company business, and you receive a DUI, this will be considered your first positive test. If you are charged with a DUI, you must report the incident to your manager or the Senior Director of Human Resources on the next business day if you are reimbursed for mileage, receive a car allowance, or are a driver for the company.

Off-the-job illegal drug or alcohol use which adversely affects your job performance or which could jeopardize the safety of other associates, the public, customers or company equipment will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
